IIDA/HD Product Design Competition
IIDA with partner Hospitality Design hosted the IIDA/HD Product Design Competition to honor innovation, function and aesthetic advancements in the hospitality industry. Winners were announced at the Platinum Circle Gala during the HD Expo in Las Vegas. Winners included the following companies in each category: Applied Finishes and Materials: 3form and Designtex; Textiles: Brentano and Evans and Brown for Hunter Douglas Hospitality; Flooring: Durkan and Centiva by International Floors of America, Inc.; Seating Individual: JANUS et Cie and Neoteric Luxury; Seating Group or Series: Loewenstein and Barlow Tyrie Ltd.; Category Case Goods and Freestanding Furniture: Sterling Sleep Systems and Samuel Lawrence Hospitality; Lighting: Vibia; Accessories or Specialties: Architectural Systems, Inc. and Quick Drain USA; and Best of Competition: 3form.

Sustainable Suite Design Competition
The inaugural Sustainable Suite Design competition winners WATG and IDEO will build and showcase their winning suite concept, Haptik, right on the expo floor. The suite's innovative green strategies include an "all-off" switch to ensure lights are off based on passive infrared sensors, a shower wall that captures solar heat, and a greywater irrigation system that filters and recycles shower water to outdoor gardens and landscaping.

HD Expo Terms and Conditions
Non-Exhibiting Producers & Suppliers (NONEX) Policy:
Our exhibitors have asked us to help Hospitality Design maintain its professional business atmosphere and we join them in this endeavor. Our policy regarding Non-Exhibiting Producers & Suppliers, including their independent representatives, (NONEX) attending the show states: Hospitality Design will charge Non-Exhibiting Manufacturers and Manufacturers Reps a fee of $200 to attend the expo. A limit of 5 persons per non-exhibiting Manufacturer/Rep company may attend, and Hospitality Design will continue to reserve the right to refuse registration entrance to any Non-Exhibitor Manufacturer/Rep individual.

Attendee Cancellation Policy:
Attendee cancellation requests for refunds must be received in writing by April 23, 2010 and are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given to registrations made after April 23, 2010. Attendee requests received will not be processed until after the close of the event. No refunds will be made for exhibit hall only registrations OR special event tickets. Cancellation requests should be faxed to 770-777-8700 or mailed to: Registration Department, 1145 Sanctuary Parkway, Suite 355, Alpharetta, GA 30009. An organization may substitute one person for another. If event ticket(s) are lost, you will be charged the FULL event price in order to replace the lost ticket(s).

  • No children under the age of 16 will be permitted on the show floor. Proof of age is required.
  • No cameras or video equipment allowed on the show floor. Violators will be prosecuted.
  • No strollers or rolling carts larger than airline carry on size are permitted on the show floor.
